OUR TENETS

 

WHAT WE BELIEVE, TEACH AND PRACTICE.

  1. The Unity of the Godhead and the Trinity of the person therein. (Matt. 3:16, 2Corinthians 13:14 Col. 2:9, Eph. 1:2-3)

  2. The utter depravity of human nature the necessity for repentance and Regeneration and the Eternal doom of the finally impenitent. (Gen. 3:1-19, Is. 53:6, Rom. 3:23, 2 Pet. 3:9-10, Act 17:30)

  3. The Virgin Birth, sinless life, Atoning death, triumphant Resurrection, Ascension and Abiding Intercession of our Lord Jesus Christ. His Second coming and Millennial Reign on earth, ( Is. 7:14, Lk. 1:26-27, Col. 1:15, Heb. 4: 15-16, Rom. 8: 34)

  4. Justification and Sanctification of the Believer through the finished work of Christ. ( Rom. 4:25, Rom. 5: 1,16-18, 1 Cor. 1:30-31, Thess 4:3)

  5. The Baptism of the Holy Ghost for the Believer with Signs following (Act 1;5-8, 1 Cor. 12:18-31, Mk. 16:17, Gal. 5:22, Heb. 2:3-4)

  6. The Nine Gifts of the Holy Ghost for the edification, exhortation and comfort of the church, which is the body of Christ. ( 1 Cor. 12: 1-14, Rom. 12:6-8, 1 Cor. 14: 1-14)

  7. The sacrament of Baptism by immersion, and the Lords supper. (Matt. 28: 19, Acts. 8: 36-38, Jn. 6: 51-56, Lk. 22: 19-20)

  8. Divine Inspiration and Authority of the Holy Scriptures. (2 Tim. 3:15-18, Rom. 15:4, 1 Peter 1:19-21)

  9. Church Government by Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, Teachers, Elders and Deacons. ( Eph. 4: 10, 1 Cor. 12:27-28, Eph. 2:19-22)

  10. The possibility of falling from Grace. (Heb. 6:4-6, 1 Cor. 10:12, 2 Pet. 3:17, 2 Thess. 2:2-12)

  11. The obligatory nature of tithes and offering. (Gen. 14;20, Mal. 3:8-10, 2 Cor. 8:7, Acts 20:35, Heb. 7: 1-4)

  12. Divine healing through Obedience to the commandments of our Lord Jesus Christ and Faith in His name and the Merit of His blood for all the sicknesses, diseases and infirmities. (Exo. 15:26, Is.53:5, Jms. 5:4-15, Jn. 30:7)

  13. Faith in God the Jehovah “Jereh” to supply all your financial needs. (Phil. 4:19)

RULES OF BELIEF

THE FOLOWING IS EXPECTED OF ALL MEMBERS OF THE CHURCH.

  1. A personal testimony of your salvation in Christ. (Acts 11:26, Rom. 10;19)

  2. Your acknowledgement of, and Obedience to, the order and officers of the church: Apostles, Elders, Deacons, Deaconess. (Heb. 13:17, Eph. 4:11, 1 Cor. 12:28, Rom. 13:1-5)

  3. Your presence in the Meeting of the church and (abidance in full communion), not to absent yourself without sufficient reason. (Heb. 10:25, Acts 2:42-43)

  4. Your conformity to the fundamental doctrines of the Church as well as the necessary ordinance. (2Jn 1:8-9, 1 Jn. 2;23-24, Rom. 6:17, 2 Tim. 1:130

  5. That you contribute towards the support of the cause, as taught unto us in the word of God. (Gen. 14-20; 22:28; Lev. 27;30, 1 Chron. 28: 14, 1 Cor. 16:2; Deut. 14:22-25, Matt. 22:23, Heb. 7:8, 4:7)

  6. That you keep the counsels of the church within the church. (Matt. 7:6, Prov. 23:9)

  7. That you pray for and help every member, remembering we are joint, members in the body of Christ. (1 Cor. 12:25, Rom. 15: 1-3, Gal. 6:2, 1 Thess. 5:14-15, Col. 1:9-10, 2 Thess. 11-12, 1 Tim. 2;1)

  8. Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. (Eph. 4:3, Col. 3:14-15, Jn. 17: 21-23)

RULES OF CONDUCT

THE FOLLOWING IS EXPECTED OF ALL MEMBERS OF THE CHURCH.

  1. Never come to the house of God without praying. (Matt.6:6, Eph. 6:18, Heb. 4:15-16, Is. 50:4)

  2. Be in your seat at the commencement of the service. You will thus be a good example to those that are late and neglectful. (Phil. 3;17, 1 Tim. 3:15)

  3. Bring your children with you to the house of God. Relatives and servants also have souls. It is your duty and privilege to take care of them. (Gen, 18;19, Joshua 24: 15, 2 Tim. 2:5, Prov. 22:6)

  4. Make pastor your personal friend. His sympathy support and counsel are needed by you. Constantly pray for him. (1 Thess. 2:7, 11-12; Joel 2:17; Rom. 15:30-32; Col. 4:3, Eph. 6:19; Heb. 13:17)

  5. Make the church your spiritual home. (Act 2:46, Phil 1:17)

  6. When conversing in the home, never speak disrespectfully or criticizing of God’s servants or their ministrations in the presence of your children. (3Jn. 1:9-10, Num. 12:1-12)

  7. Study the bible diligently on your own and take it with you to the house of God. (2Tim. 2:15, Acts 17:11, Ps. 1:2. Rom. 15: 4: 2 Tim. 3:16-17)

  8. Enter reverently, pray fervently, listen attentively; give praise from a grateful heart and worship God in the beauty of holiness. ( Ps. 118:27-29, Eccles. 5:1, Rom. 12:11; James 1:19, Ps. 100:4)
